On Wednesday, 21st May, 2008, Belize Medical Associates embarked on a blood drive to assist its patients, staff and family members that may become in need of blood.  The staff's family members and friends were also encouraged to participate.

The session was held on the third floor of its newly built building which houses the Laboratory Department.  The session began at 12:00 noon.  First, there was a presentation by personnel from the Belize National Blood Transfusion Service on the importance of giving blood followed by the actual blood collection.  Lunch was provided to all in attendance.  The session ended at 5:00 pm.

Another session was held on Friday, 6th June, 2008 at the Blood Bank in Belize City to accommodate persons who could not make it to the first session.
