General Patient's Instructions for Surgery Print E-mail

1. Have nothing to eat nor drink (including water) as from midnight on the day before the surgery.

2. On admission present all tests performed at the clinic (include blood tests, x-rays, ultrasound, CT scan, etc.)

3. Prepare the designated surgical site as indicated by your surgeon (optional).

4. Consult your surgeon/BMA Hospital if any of the following conditions are present (surgery may be postponed):

a. Fever
b. Cough/Cold
c. Vomiting/Diarrhea
d. Any other

5. Bring along personal items needed for the days of hospitalization only.

6. Make proper arrangements for bill payment at the administration office at least the day before surgery.

7. Have a responsible adult accompany you to the hospital on admission and discharge.

8. Report to admission office on the day of the surgery.
