BMA Participates in Women's Week Bike Rally Print E-mail

On March 1st, 2008, staff and doctors of BMA participated for the 3rd consecutive year  in the Women’s Department Annual Women’s Week Bike Rally which commenced at 6:00 am on Western Avenue.

According to Ms. Icilda Humes, Ag. Director of the Women’s Department, this year’s event was held to   promote physical health and spiritual unity and this year's ride will focus on riding for the cause of the Youth Enhancement Services.BMA Participators in this year’s ride were Mrs. Denise Talbert, Ms. Rosa Hernandez, Ms. Precelia Hoare and  Mrs. Kendra Rosado. 

The route for the bike rally was as follows: Western Avenue, to the Western Highway then Faber’s Road, C.A. Boulevard, Caesar Ridge Road, Queen Charlotte Street, Yarborough Road, Regent Street over Swing Bridge into Queen Street, New Road, Douglas Jones Street into Freetown Road, ending at the YWCA.

BMA sponsored breakfast for the riders and contributed $1.00 for each rider.  Additionally, a gift certificate for a Basic Check-up was also donated to the Women’s Department.
