BMA's Expansion Project Print E-mail

According to Dr. George Gough, BMA's expansion started on January 18th, 2007.  The Board of Directors felt that BMA had reached a cap with its existing building and also decided to raise our level of tertiary care in different sub-specialities such as Neurology, Cardiology and Intensive Care.

This expansion will house a permanent cardiology, neurology and colposcopy unit, specific procedures rooms such as those for endoscopy and minor procedures, a two-bed intensive care unit, eight more consultation rooms with new waiting room, on-call resident doctor room, general staff eating lounge with bathroom and the present kitchen will be expanding three times its current size.

Additionally, with the x-ray and ultrasound units expanding on the first floor to take over the present lab space, the expansion will also house a complete, first class microbiology lab with culture prep and a complete cytology lab.  The expansion will also allow for the accounting and administrative staff  to have new offices, human resources office, a conference room for meetings and kitchen space, elevator service for surgery patients and the entire building will be supported by a brand new stand by plant to suffice the entire building and more.
